December 2004. The Indian Ocean tsunami devastated coastal India. I was still in my hometown Dwaraka Tirumala, Eluru District, Andhra Pradesh. A student. Finding direction.

I gathered a few friends in our village and we organised a small relief collection. ₹15,000 raised. We handed it through our local MLA's office, which routed it to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for tsunami victims in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh coastal areas.

A small contribution from someone with no income. But to a village kid, it meant something. The instinct to respond. That was already there.

Independence Day. I went back to SVDO High School, Dwaraka Tirumala. The same school where I had studied until year 2000. Five years after passing out, I returned as a young adult.

That day I conducted games and cultural activities for 7th to 10th standard students, distributed gifts, and spent the day motivating them. The school where I had sat as a student five years earlier. I was now back, giving something forward.

I remember being super happy that day. Not because anyone watched. Because I knew exactly what it felt like to sit in those same desks five years earlier.

Moved from Dwaraka Tirumala to Chennai. Telugu-medium background. Limited Tamil. Limited English. Carrying a ₹2 lakh course fee investment into AAASP, the PG Design and Advertising course at Arena Multimedia.

18 months of training. Late nights. The Chennai I encountered in 2006 did not yet know me. I was still finding my way through it.

Job interviews. Many of them. Mostly around Arumbakkam. Many rejections. The Arumbakkam road I walked in 2008 with a folder of certificates is the same Arumbakkam road that would matter 15 years later, on a different day, in a very different chair.

February 2008. First job at Pixel Studios as Head of Marketing Communications. The break I had been working toward.

Show the value before you ask for the money

How Glint Creatives won its first clients with no funding, no team, and no reputation.

Started Glint Creatives from a small room in August 2012. One real skill, hand-crafted UI design and clean HTML, built from scratch without templates. My bike, and a fund from my parents to begin. No outside funding. No backing.

For the first several months, it was just me. The research, the design, the UI, the HTML, and the marketing, all done by my own hands. One objective only. Best possible output, and a client who was genuinely satisfied.
My approach was different from the start. Before meeting a business, I studied the client and their competitors in full, then designed a sample home page showing exactly how their website could look, and carried it into the meeting already built. No money asked. Nothing promised. Just a clear vision on the screen in front of them. I did this for 45 to 50 businesses in those first six months, and I would meet the same client four or five times before anything was signed. A few of them still tell their teams that the founder arrived with a finished design before they had even asked.

Out of all those demos, seven or eight became paying clients in the first six months. The rest did not, and that was part of it. I kept going with patience, without losing energy, treating each meeting as its own thing rather than counting the ones that did not convert. I never resented a client for hesitating. Why should anyone pay for a website before they had seen what I could do? So I showed the value first, and let the work earn the trust.
That temperament, more than the design skill, is what carried the first year. Only then did the team slowly begin to form, one person at a time, each brought in around the work itself, not around any hype.

The first significant award. Best Digital Marketing Agency at SM Awards 2018, recognised by the Andhra Pradesh Government. After six quiet years of work, an outside validation that the path was real.

21 January 2023. Returned to Triveni Degree College, Jangareddy Gudem, Andhra Pradesh. My B.Com (Computers) alma mater. Went there with my Glint team. Prasad Sir, my respected Principal, addressed his students about my journey.

That evening he sent me a personal WhatsApp message. I have kept it ever since.

August 2023. International Business Awards, New Delhi. Best Web Development and Digital Marketing Agency in Chennai. National recognition.

3 August 2023. Invited as Chief Guest at DG Vaishnav College, Chennai. Addressed 500+ undergraduate students at their Investiture Ceremony. The same Arumbakkam area where I was rejected at offices 15 years earlier. Same road. Different chair.

DesignRush USA featured Glint Creatives in their Best Colourful Web Designs list, for our work on Indlas Child Guidance Clinic. The only Indian agency in that global list. An international design publication, headquartered in Miami, recognised our work alongside US and European studios.
